Easy Page Turn

Postby Chuck Engels » Wed Apr 01, 2009 10:34 am

It seems that the ULead/Corel video product (formerly VideoStudio) has a very simple but nice Album/Book and Page Turn.
Here is an example from the Videomaker forum
http://videomaker.com/community/forums/ ... post-45421

Possible to create the effect in the ULead software and then export a file for Premiere Elements maybe?
Does anyone use the ULead software now?

Haven't used Ulead in years.

Having that transistion certainly makes it a lot easier to do. But, having the book tip and zoom in for every page turn is a bit much. It would be nicer if they provided a second transition to turn the page once the book was open. Ok for a few images, but I wouldn't want to use it for a lot. Even the example posted was starting to get to me. Kind of like the "zoom in and zoom out on everything" movies that people did when zoom lenses first became available.

Pinnacle Hollywood FX has a few "canned" page turns, book openings.

Bob, From what I hear there are two different transitions that you can use. I was thinking that the movement back and forth was a bit much too, that is why I was wondering if anyone used it currently.

Paul, Do they look very good? Do you have samples? :)

Yes, a second page turn transition would help if it were the right kind. I did a quick search and didn't turn up a list of transitions, so I am curious. Surely we have someone here that uses the current version.

Hi Chuck, I used a Hollywood FX book opening effect in the opening and closing sequences of my 2008 competition entry. It is the fourth video in the 2008 folder: http://muvipix.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-1840

I also have ULEAD VideoStudio 11+, I dont see the effect as demonstrated in the link, certainly not in the transitions. There again mine was the download version, even so I loaded the additional content.
