This saves me a lot of time! Thanks, Ron. My other post has been deleted.

Some links from the other one:

Not sure if it is ethical to "borrow" someone elses list but there are 3 forum pages of free tools here:

This is a simple on-screen ruler I use to measure, center, or align text or images.
It uses very little recources and you can change it's scale, size and position.

Hi,

Wow! Quite the list guys. Briefly looked over some of the offerings and didn't see this one listed-
http://downloads.zdnet.com/abstract.asp ... ag=nl.e539

I subscribe to PC World and this from their download page. It even offers desktop recording so I thought it might make some of the instructor- types interested since it can capture from there. A brief from it's description being that it too, is FREE-

Quick Media Converter is a powerful and very complete Free video and audio conversion software. Converts to and from formats including:flv,avi,divx,xvid,mpeg4,ipod,iphone,psp,3GP,3G2,AVI,DIVX,XVID,TS,DVD,VCD,MPEG,MPEG2,MP3,WAV,amr,m4a,mp4,vob,mov,h264,h263,wmv,wma . Resizing Cropping and also Web Cam or DV Cam fluxes capture to avi divx . Batch Conversions supported, desktop activity recording.

Man, I luv this place!

Just to add some info on the ruler:

I've discovered that you can open multiple rulers (both horizontal and verticle).

I love the list from above http://www.techsupportalert.com/

There is some amazing programs and very intelligent people supporting the site

I found a great tool (windirstat) for showing you where your large files are on your computer....its really cool...it shows a windows explorer view and a graphically tree view which is colored boxes that shows you all of your files with the boxes shown with relative size....very pretty..and colors are based on the type of file.
I quickly cleaned off 10GB off of my system in a matter of minutes.

Hi tjodork, I edited your post, you missed the "h" off the "http" in your first link.

Nice list by the way...

Paul.
