Anybody have any experience with or have any thoughts on this free tool?

I may download it later and play with it. It seems to handle a lot of file types, even if it's not a particularly powerful editor.

Yes I use it, I also think Ken does. The version I have, probably not the latest, only converts to PAL DV-AVI. NTSC DV-AVI is not supported at the moment. Maybe it is in the latest version.
