A very nice plug-in used by Bill Tranter in some of his intros.

Lots of possibilities :)

The Shine plug-in is only $99, the whole suite is around $650.

After Effects is $999

I would love to get my hands on it too! Really powerful stuf in there. Ron you (and Chuck) should check out the podcasts by Andrew Kramer and Arron Raboiniwitz. (Spelling?) Maybe you've already found them? They are both with the Creative Cow Team. If you use Itunes as your podcatcher you can search for After effects and these two guys should come up. Really cool stuff! I dont have after effects but I like to watch if nothing else to know what it's capable of.

I have watched a few of their tutorials at Creative Cow, that's how I got started with the Motion Backgrounds ;)

And After Effects is even more than what you hear, it is amazing :)

I've always had a interest in After Effects however a little daunted by the price, but more so in learning it. How's the learning curve on it?
Happy Editing,

It is surprisingly like Premiere Elements on steroids :)

Timeline, video tracks, audio, effects and transitions, drag and drop, same old stuff. I have a long way to go yet but initially learning how to do some of the simple stuff is a very easy transition between the two programs.

One of the great things is that the Photoshop files layers can each be on a separate track, very nice. They can be imported into a project as a single image or in layers or as a complete composition (after effects lingo). Compositions are kind of like sub projects, you can have one or many and each composition can contain many images, video, audio and effects. I could go on and on....

I am saving diligently for the next release of the Adobe Production Suite due out this summer. I pray that I have the funds available when it does. The whole suite looks so good. I would have to take a couple of months off just to learn all of it I am sure.
Now if I can only save for that HD camcorder after that. Then the Bravo DVD duplicator that prints the DVD?s after burning them. Then?.. does it ever stop???? In the mean time I am being kept busy shooting a lot of video and editing. Am learning a lot. I think I made every mistake in the book and then some. But that is the fun about video. Learning and growing
