I finally got around to try Videomizer 2 by Engelmann Media. Not a good experience, it did already stall at opening the video clip with the GoPro video. I tried different formats, some opened and appeared to get stabilized, but export would only produce a sound file.
After I uninstalled Videomizer, Muvee's Turbo Video Stabilizer stopped working. Re-installing did not fix it, I had to do a System Restore to get it working again.

Speaking of Turbo Video Stabilizer, I found another oddity. I had a clip taken with an iPad and it was upside down. I used TVS to turn it around, but then it was mirrored(?), left side on the right- right side on the left. Maybe the fact that I had to add the .mp4 extension after .mov has something to do with it? This was the one thing that worked in Videomizer correctly, the clip got rotated and stayed in the right orientation.

I bought a 1 year subscription for Muvee's TVS. It costs $9.99 and you get all updates for free. It also works on my desktop and laptop, as long as I don't use them at the same time.

Gee, one of Muvee's advertised features is turning videos right-side up. But anyway, I submitted a support ticket to Muvee about the frames per second issue. They are looking into the matter. Thanks for heads up on the Videomizer 2. I haven't tried it yet. I'll try it in a virtual machine.

knucklehead question..... :)

I am assuming that Adobe After Effects will work better than any of these programs?

Hello all - I have used Turbo Video Stabilizer to stabilize my GOPRO Hero 3 footage and have thought it to do a great job. Like the previous posts state the frame rate issue can be resolved with the audio but would be nice for them to fix that.

Unfortunately just on my recent videos I can no longer stabilize them - it generates a file, acts like it did before, but now the generated file is very small (10 minute video 1080 comes out to be 5mbs) and the file won't open. I have not changed anything on my laptop and been able to reproduce this on three of my machines. Is anyone else having this issue and been able to resolve?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Granted that they are a little bit expensive but The best way to remove the shake is to not have it to begin with... There are a lot of different companies making them but from what I have seen they do an outstanding job at keeping the camera level while on the go. It is the handheld version of a brushless gimbal.
