Changing the default project folder

Postby mikecox » Fri Sep 15, 2017 5:44 pm

I thought there would be a way to change the default folder location for my projects but I've looked in the settings for a way to change it but i didn't see an option for doing it.

I did notice the ScratchDisks option and wondered how best to assign there in a way that would made the program work more efficiently.

You can save your project files to wherever you'd like, Mike. But there's no way I know of to designate a new default save location.

it is usually best if your scratch disks are on the primary drive or the drive that the application is installed on.

I believe the program will save the next project in the same folder as the last. If you change where you save the project file in your current project the next one should default to that location.

Ok, that makes sense and that seemed to be how it was working but I've done a couple SaveAs actions and found myself in the weeds and had to navigate back to my PrE project folder. It happens when I start a new project, then the SaveAs defaults to the program folder, so every time I create a new project, and save it I have to dig out and navigate back to my project folder.
