Hi all,
Further to my earlier question about deleting 'Rendered' files, I notice that I have two types of rendered files. MPEG and XMP.
What is the difference and can I delete both?
Regards
John

Re: What is the difference between Rendered File MPEG and XMWhen you're talking about rendering, make sure you're clear. Rendering the timeline means creating a temporary preview file of your timeline so that you can see clearly as you edit. Output rendering means actually outputting a finished movie of your project.
That said, the MPEG is the actual video. XMP files are just metadata. What you can delete depends on what you want to delete. Are you finished with your project and just cleaning up the old timeline renders? You can delete them all if your project is done and you've output your movie. Thanks Steve, I had deleted the MPEG render files from a project before I realised the above. However, I've gone back into the project and all appears to be ok. Does the program make the MPEG files as it prepares to export? John [1] Sony RX100 M6 (PAL)

Re: What is the difference between Rendered File MPEG and XMIf you're talking about render preview files, those files are only created if you ask the program to create them for you so that you can preview your project.
