Zooming with a panoramic 'still'

Postby John Walker » Sat Sep 17, 2016 6:43 pm

Hi all,

A question for you :)

This is what I would like to do:

I have a hi-res wide panorama still which covered a 180 degree sweep of a landscape.
I want to start off with the whole image in view in letterbox format.
Then slowly zoom to the left side until full screen.
Followed by a slow left to right scan of the whole image to the right edge.
Finally zoom back out to the full image in letterbox.

Can this be done in PSE14?

Regards
John

Hi John...Are you familiar with the idea of keyframing? What you describe can be done pretty easily with some basic pan and zoom keyframing. There are some tutorials for this if you have a Learning Basic subscription. Or if you have the fundamentals and need specific questions answered I'm sure we can help.

We can also give you pretty precise Scale and Position settings if you can tell us the size of your photo, measured in pixels. Width and Height.

Assuming, as Dave says, you're familiar with keyframing.

Also let us know if the project is for DVD (standard resolution) or high-definition BluRay or online (YouTube).
