PRE or PowerDirector

PRE or PowerDirectorThis is for Steve Grisetti, I have both PRE 14 and PD 14, and as of now I seem to be going back and forth depending on what I need. If I need multi-cam or multi-trim I use PD, but I like PRE for the Auto Smart Tone, and find the UI a bit easier. Am I missing something here? What do you use for your own personal editing? Or do you use Pre Pro? Thanks.
Re: PRE or PowerDirectorThere's nothing wrong with using the best -- or your favorite tool -- for each task.
I too like Premiere Elements for editing. It fits my workflow best. But, when I'm editing multi-camera video, I usually use another program that's designed to edit multi-cam. Among the under-$100 consumer programs, the best multi-cam editor is PowerDirector, in my not-so-humble opinion. Once your multicam is edited, you can finish your editing in PowerDirector, or you can export the finished multi-cam segment as an AVCHD file and add it to a larger project in your favorite editing program. Re: PRE or PowerDirectorThanks, and you also answered my next question if it's a good idea to start editing in one program and then finish it in another and, if so, what format to export it in - guess you read my mind! Off to Amazon to check out your Cool Tricks for PRE 14 book!
