New User - Can not Export file

Postby delgadob » Tue Feb 23, 2016 2:03 pm

Hello,
I am trying to export my first production to an external HUGE hard drive.

Every time I try the Export and Share and indicate where I want the file to go I get a message that the file is too large for the destination.

I know there is enough space to store it.

How could I solve this problem?

Thanks for info.

Hi Bert, Can you please tell us exactly what steps you are taking to share the project and what share options you are using?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Also, please ensure that the drive is formatted NTFS and not FAT32.

In fact, it would be very helpful to know what operating system you're using also, as that could affect the maximum size of your file.

BTW, how long is the movie you're trying to output and what resolution is the file you're trying to export?
HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro

Mystery solved!
It looks like I was trying to save for UTube and the file was just too large. Used Export & Share/Quick Export and the file was saved.

Thanks for the replies.

One of the best ways is to choose the computer sharing options and select one of the MP4 formats.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
