Making an arrow

Postby sadddletree » Wed Dec 21, 2016 6:20 pm

Is there a way to "draw" an arrow on the video? Something in the text area where you can use symbols instead of text?

Thanks again!!

You should be able to use a title and create the arrow there. Or create an arrow in Photoshop and place that in the timeline.

Or look for an image of an arrow that is a png file with a transparent background. and place in the time line.

As Sidd says, the best solution is to use one of the Shape tools in Photoshop Elements to create the arrow and then save it as a PSD with a transparent background and then import that into your Premiere Elements project.

As you suggested though, you can also use Web Dings, if you've got them among your fonts.

Here's an arrow with a transparent background I made for someone for a project a few years ago. You're welcome to it if it will help.

You made that for me Steve recently, or maybe you just reposted it for me a couple of months ago, and it worked perfectly. Your support was greatly appreciated. I was able to use the tracking option, with key frames, to keep it somewhat on target. Thanks again. Mike

I've done the same thing with a circle to identify things in a video.
