Thanks, Bob. I have version 11 and just tried saving a preset with multiple effects, and it worked. What could make someone think that only one effect is saved is that the name of the preset is initially the name of the first effect selected in the applied effects list. If you're going fast and see "Motion" as the name of the preset when you go to save the preset, you could easily cancel out thinking that it doesn't work.

Of course in version 13 things might have changed so it really no longer works.

EDIT: Okay, I see Chuck got it working in 13.

I would like to clarify something. Since I started this discussion I would like to comment on the way this evolved.
Here is a quote from my original question - "I have made several adjustments to a clip such as Color, Gamma, Lighting, etc. Is it possible to create a custom preset that can be reused in other projects?"
I was referring specifically to ADJUSTMENTS - not EFFECTS. Somehow this discussion evolved into effects. Obviously, you can make presets for multiple effects. But as it has been stated above by Chuck - there is no way to create a preset for adjustments.

There is a utility that can save the "adjustments" and "effects" of Premiere Elements called Clipmate, from Thornsoft. I've had it working with Premiere Elements since version 1.0. It's working with PrE 11.0 on Windows 8.1 64-bit.

Whatever clip you copy on the timeline gets stored in Clipmate with the adjustments and effects and a link to the source. You can restart Premiere Elements and Clipmate will still have the information about any clips you copied in previous sessions. There's a trick to getting Clipmate set up so it recognizes the various clipboard formats PrE uses. After copying the first time, you will have to select some options in Clipmate so it will store all the PrE formats: Tools > Application Profile...

If you make Clipmate "always on top," you may need to select another option on the Quickpaste tab so that you can lock Clipmate to Premiere Elements. Locking isn't always needed, at least when I use it.

It's best to copy effects and adjustments from a color matte in Premiere Elements. If you use a video or picture stored on your hard drive and later move or delete those files, the preset stored in Clipmate might not work. With a color matte being internal to PrE, it won't get lost unless Adobe changes the way color mattes are identified.

EDIT: There's suppose to be a red circle around the "Use Monitoring Thread" option on the QuickPaste tab snapshot.

Mea Culpa.

Adjustments are effects. And, in Premiere Pro and earlier versions of Premiere Elements (the ones I'm most familiar with) they are found in the Effects Panel. Sometime, I'm not sure when, Adobe created an Adjustments Panel in Premiere Elements incorporating the adjustment effects. That broke the mechanism for making presets that use them. They are still applied to clips as effects the same as they have always been which is why you can copy and paste them. Not having ever used it, the adjustment panel in later versions of Premiere Elements slipped my mind. Sorry.

I think they split the adjustments out of the effects starting in version 12. I still primarily use version 10 as that is still my favorite :)

I did put in a feature request to have the presets also save the adjustments or to create a separate preset for adjustments, either way I think will work. I would love to ask them to create Encore Elements, add sequences to Premiere Elements but I'm afraid they will laugh at me ::C

I did actually suggest an Encore Elements years ago. They laughed at me.

I guess Encore is not as popular as Photoshop or Premiere. Encore should be built into Premiere, not a separate product.

Encore CS6 is the end of the line for Encore. Adobe feels that in the professional arena, DVD and BluRay use is declining and further development of Encore is not necessary. Encore CS6 will continue to be available indefinitely to Premiere Pro CC users that need it.

Premiere Pro can dynamically link to Encore and pass sequences and assets to it without requiring rendering and saving first. Changes to the Premiere Pro project immediately reflect in Encore. It doesn't need to be built-in.

Yeah. Back when I submitted my request that wasn't the case. Time marches on.
