Thank you very much Apparently you attached things that it said I don't have permission to view but I do see the save audio feature so you have been a great help. I assume it should be simple to import audio back into the time line after I make my changes Thank you very much. David

Yes, just use "Add Media" to import the modified audio file back into the project. Not sure why you wouldn't be able to see the images ...

Thank you that works very well What might be the reason (it is not linked to anything) that when I highlight an area of video that I want to remove, and I click on "delete and close gap" But it deletes and the gap does not close and I cannot delete the space. If I drag the right hand video till it meets the left, something is wrong and I have changed something that I did not want to change. It seems that as long as delete and close gap appears and is clickable, it should do so --but it deletes and leave an empty space without closing the gap.?? Starting to drive me nuts. David

That's the ripple function.
The program will only delete and close gap on the Video 1/Audio 1 track if there is no audio or video in the gap on parallel tracks.

But There isn't any audio on the adjoining track, I deleted it after you taught me how to save it first. I deleted it after saving it and then made my edits to it in Audition, Then I brought it back into a 3rd audio track with no video associated with it When I go down to the main video Track one, with no audio anywhere along its entire length, it still will not delete and close gap even though it says it is going to and like I said, if I drag it over its screwed up and the video is not correctly deleted so I have to undo it Any thoughts? Since version 12, the ripple function is only fully functional on the Video 1/Audio 1 tracks.
Even if you have no media anywhere else on your timeline, delete and close gap may not work on the other audio or video tracks.

The only option is to move the clips manually to fill the gap.
