What order must effects and adjustments be applied?

Postby StevenG » Tue Mar 17, 2015 10:01 am

I see that if I stabilize a clip, then apply Favorite Moments, I get a message that previous edits will be removed.
If I want to apply multiple effects and adjustments, is there a sequence in which they should be applied, so that all adjustments and effects will remain applied to a clip?
Thanks.

That's hard to say since, as you've seen, some effects do overwrite others.

You might try stabilizing the clip then export it as a separate file. The import that clip into your timeline and do your additional edits. Just make sure you export the clip at a high quality.

I have the same problem with PrPro and the warp stabilizer. My workflow is to trim the clips for the whole project. Then I go back and stabilize only the ones that need it and export as a high quality like Sidd suggested. Swap out the stabilized copies with the original. Lastly color correct.

The reason I stabilize after I edit the whole project is that it takes time to run the stabilizer. There is no need to stabilize say 2 minutes if I am only using 30 seconds of the clip.
