Hi !!
Has clip speed adjustment / timeline shifting nightmare ever been addressed or still not possible? Deal killer, isn't it?

Not sure what nightmare you're referring to, Tex. As far as I know, both Time Stretch and Time Remapping work just fine in Premiere Elements.

nightmare = much time wasted in correcting the unwanted chopping and shifting of clips downstream of speed adjustments. Adobe states you can place clip above the occupied layers and it won't do that .. but it does. I have to keep migrating clips to end to work on them ..then bring back and see if timing works. Test/retest =big snag. MISS the time drag that was perfect. Will try that time remap feature.
Getting behind on time critical batch of animal/dolphin rights projects. I was speedy on v8 :( ..just frustrated sorry

AND THANKS Steve!!! Have been gone for some time. I rejoice in your consistent expert presence here. You are a godsend to Adobe's sketchy scattered tidbits help with PrE issues. I have NVidia graphics card and adobe quit supporting for recent drivers! Could be part of my bizarre timeline behaviors.

Thanks, Tex.

I've still never experienced anything like you're describing. On the other hand, I always do my time stretching/remapping on the Video 1 track.

Has anyone else found Time Stretch or Time Remapping to be buggy?

Tex, can you list step-by-step instructions for what you're doing and what you're seeing? If you do, we'll see if we can duplicate it.
