Scrubbing

Postby mikecox » Tue May 13, 2014 2:55 am

In PrE the arrow keys can be used to move forward and back in a more slow and controlled way. At this point I have only figured out a way to move the CTI forward in 1 second increments; but I have to keep clicking the icon. Is there a way to move it back as well and is there a way to move the CTI in a more controlled way; forward as well as back, other than by grabbing it and scrubbing; which of is too crude.

btw I love the way PD rips VOB files from a DVD and imports them directly into PD; and converts them to mpg in the process!

I'm not aware of a keyboard shortcut for scrubbing your timeline in PowerDirector, Mike.

Ctrl+f plays the timeline fast forward, but that's about as close as I could find.

Shift+F12, by the way, brings up a list of shortcut keys.

Thanks, x2 helps but I wish there was a way to get better scrub control. Maybe my mouse is set too sensitive, because with very little movement I find myself whizzing past my start point!

I have an Intuos pen Tablet; I wonder if I'd get more control over the CTI with that?

Ah, good, that will be a very helpful shortcut!

Thanks
