Talk about the "World's Most Versatile Camera™" here.

I thought there was a post about this somewhere, but I can't find it. I have now 2 GoPro cameras and numerous accessories but nothing to keep it all organized. At my last outing with my gear I used an insulated lunch bag to transport everything. This was my camera bag for my DSLR camera and lenses and it served me well for that purpose. I liked it better than a real camera bag because it is sturdy and compact. It does not really work for the GoPro stuff, too many small pieces which get lost in the bag. Depending on how many accessories you have, there is a company called SMATREE has some pretty nice quality and inexpensive cases I have two of their smaller cases that I store my accessories in. I use a pencil case I found at Target to carry my cameras. The pencil case is padded and easier to carry as I do not lug all my accessories with me when I am recording out and about. Sidd

Is this a hard shell case? I have been looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Carr ... 559JG4ST2NI like your pencil case idea. As I had only 1 camera I used a small cosmetic bag for all the small stuff and carried the camera in my purse.

Yes they are the same thing except the Amazon case is less expensive. Good find.
The pencil case was 8 dollars and it is really easy to use instead of lugging around "stuff"

Funny...I decided to spend a couple $ more and went for the big SMATREE case since you recommended it. I will definitely look for a pencil case too. Thanks for your tips!

Thanks for this thread and for the ideas. I didn't know a "GoPro case" existed. What a great idea. I currently keep my "crap" in a small plastic box with multiple dividers as this is ideal for small adapters, screws, etc. But I like the Amazon Basics idea much better.

Just in case someone is interested... I received the Smatree Case yesterday evening. I had ordered the G260sw Medium Large Case. It is slightly smaller as the Amazon Basics case and at 1st I thought I would not be able to get all my stuff in there. But years of training stacking dishes into the dishwasher, using every little bit of space available, payed off. Case.jpg But I was still left with some pieces that did not fit. Looking through my possessions, I found a 8"x6" convenience kit that airlines give to their valued 1st class passengers ( my SIL is flying professionally a lot). That solved all the problems. Bag.jpg I'm happy with my purchase and don't mind having 2 cases to store all my stuff. Everything is in one place now and easy to take to an event.

I have several of these small cases from Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/11-12-x-7-12-x-4-12-aluminum-case-69316.htmlGoPro stuff in one. GoPro PilotFly gimbal and batteries in another, macro slide and lenses in another and so on. They are each color coded so I can pick up the right one without having to check what is inside, and easy to pack into the Miata. Unfortunately they do not come with foam inside (although their larger cases do) but I use left over packing I've received from places like Amazon. For other photo equipment that can work with various cameras, like step up lenses and lens hoods, attachments, etc., I have a set of shelves filled with maybe 5" x 8" stacking plastic boxes, based primarily on a specific camera. Batteries, charging cables, lens caps, hardware that is 1/4 20 and/or 3/6 16, rubber foot caps, polarized filters, photo junk in general. I'm using a plastic ammo case I attached a leather belt and car shoulder pad thingie to carry DSLR, lenses, filters, lens cleaning cloths, batteries that fit these items, electrical cords, and the field monitor and straps. When I need to carry all this stuff all day I use a small, foldable, cheap Harbor Freight hand truck: http://www.harborfreight.com/150-lb-capacity-foldable-hand-truck-61867.htmlOn days when I need to carry all this stuff and multiple tripods I add an approx 30+ inches tall, heavy fabric, laundry hamper that I tie to it with elastic cable straps. Mine has a lid. I bought it at Target. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rubbermaid-Foldable-Folding-Laundry-Hamper-Clothes-Laundry-Basket-Storage-Dorm-/251615242697All this stuff will fold flat and fits into the Miata's trunk... I'm pretty skilled at dishwasher loading too!

I use one of those for my other camera equipment: http://www.target.com/p/sterilite-mediu ... lsrc=aw.dsAnd I strap it to this: http://www.amazon.com/Sparco-Compact-Lu ... rt+compact. I like the little aluminum case you linked to. I dive a Jeep, I'm not limited by space. Thanks for the additional ideas.

Gerlinde not sure about your case but on mine I can remove the foam dividers. That helps when I have a bit more to carry. I also pair down what I think I am going to need for that adventure. I always have the feeling that if I bring everything, that would be the day I loose the bag.....

Sidd, yes the foam dividers are removable. I like the case because it helps me to keep all my stuff together. Before I had it sitting on a shelf in the living room and it got moved around. The only thing that I find concerning is the handle of the case is somehow on the wrong site. Should I forget to close the zipper everything will end up on the floor. We celebrated my grandson's 6th birthday at a trampoline park last weekend and I actually packed up all my stuff into the above lunch box. I used almost all the gadgets I have. I strapped one camera with the head mount to one of the kids and the 2nd camera with the chest mount to another kid. I also used the pole and the suction cup mount. I have a lot of footage to edit, not everything is really usable, but I feel already overwhelmed only thinking about it.
