Does PRE 12 support 4K video

I'm considering buying the new Sony HDR-AX100, which shoots 4K video, but my current version of PRE doesn't support 4K.

Does PRE 12 support it? If so, does it support both importing and exporting 4K, or does it just down-convert it?

If PRE12 doesn't support 4K, can anybody recommend a reasonably priced video editor that does a good job with 4K?

If not, I'll probably get the Canon HF-G30 instead.

No, PRE 12 does not. Cyberlink PowerDirector does. And, I think MAGIX Movie Edit Pro, Corel VideoStudio, and Sony Movie Studio 13 can also.

Actually, I believe Premiere Elements has project settings for 4K as well as output settings for 4k. But 4K comes in a number of flavors, so I very much defer to Bob's response.
