I am a hobbyist and am considering switching to PRE from PP.
In PPI use Sequences (Multiple Timelines) all the time. Is there a way to simulate Sequences in PRE?
Is there a good alternative?
Thanks,

Re: Sequences in PRESupport for multiple sequences is one of the differences between Premiere Pro and Premiere Elements. Premiere Elements does not support multiple sequences in a project. When working in Premiere Elements, you would need to create each sequence as a separate project and export as a video file to your computer. You can then import those files into the projects where they will be used.
Re: Sequences in PREYosale,
What version of P Pro are you using? Why do you want to switch?
Re: Sequences in PREThanks for your good information.
As a hobbyist, I don't want to subscribe to the expensive annual adobe plan for using PP. PRE 12 has everything I need, except sequences which are important to me. But, considering the great capabilities of PRE 12, I am willing to trade off sequences for the lower cost of PRE 12 and its great capabilities. Considering the multiple project alternative, when I output a video file to my HD for a later merge with other similar outputs, is there a loss of video quality? I record video in the AVCHD format. Thanks,
Re: Sequences in PREIf your project is set up properly (You'll know because you won't see yellow lines above your video clips in Expert View) and you output your finished video using Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the preset for M2T 1920x1080i, you should experience virtually no loss in quality.

Re: Sequences in PRESteve,
Thanks a lot. I love your Lynda course on PRE 11. Very Very Good!! Is there a PRE12 course in the works?
Re: Sequences in PREBecause the two programs are so similar, it's unlikely lynda.com will update that course soon (though I continue to develop courses for them on a variety of software apps.)
However, at Muvipix, we're always adding new and updated tutorials (and books, of course) for the newest versions of all the programs we support! At the top of this forum page, you'll find a link to our latest Digital Downloads Update. You can find out about our newest books here: http://muvipix.com/pe12.php HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Sequences in PRE
I can understand that. P Pro CS6 is still available to purchase as an alternative to the monthly fee of Creative Cloud, but it is significantly more expensive than Pre El.
