Re: V12Or nobody is having problems with it!
Actually, it's only a few weeks old. Give it a chance to pick up a little momentum. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: V12I can't honestly say there are any real compelling reasons to upgrade either. Although I do like that the Motion Tracking tool has returned -- and I very much like the library of sound effects.
Performance-wise, it launches a little faster and encodes a bit faster than version 11. At least to my eyes. But it's not the major overhaul to the program version 11 was. I wonder, if Adobe had gone to subscription-only upgrades to version 12, the way they did the Creative Suite, if there'd have been a lot of people willing to sign on. Re: V12
I would think it would be the opposite, but maybe that's just me. Regarding the motion-tracking, what kind of an upgrade is it when they take something away in one version and give it back to you in another? Sound effects are widely available elsewhere. As anyone who follows the forums knows, I like V11 a lot. I think this will be one that I'll skip. Be yourself; everyone else is taken.

Re: V12My feelings about subscriptions? It doesn't challenge Adobe to keep coming up with compelling updates. You either pay the subscription fee or you get nothing.
At least that's how it looks from my thin wallet. I could be wrong. Five years from now it may be so common that I won't be able to imagine any other way. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: V12I would have bought it if there was at least a basic 2 camera multi cam feature. Guess I'll stick with V10 and see what Pinnacle comes out with this fall. Between the 2 I can usually make a decent video.
Re: V12Could someone please explain a little about what motion tracking is, what it does? I have PreEl 10 and 11. LOVE the upgrades in 11.

Re: V12You can see a demonstration of the Motion Tracking tool in the tutorials along the left side of this page, Paz.
http://muvipix.com/pe12.php Basically, it locks onto an object in your video frame and then creates keyframes to follow that object around the frame. When you then link a picture-in-picture or graphic to it, this link will also follow that object or person around your video frame. It's actually pretty cool!
