text and image size in PrE 11

I just bought a new laptop which is much faster than my old one and has a 1920 x 1080 resolution screen. The screen is great, but at the highest resolution, some of the windows in PrE 11 are almost impossible to read because the text is so small. If I switch my screen resolution to lower, it helps a little bit but then some things don't fit on the screen. Is there a setting within PrE 11 that would make the text fields larger.

Examples are:

Choosing titles. I can barely see the name of the title
setting duration of transitions. Can barely read it.

Unfortunately, no. The interface is designed to ideally fit a standard desktop monitor running at 1280x1024 or more. So apparently your laptop's screen is much smaller than a standard 19" monitor.

My screen is 16 inch diagonal.

Yeah, 1920x1080 on a 16" is going to be tiny. You can't adjust the interface text size in Premiere Elements. You could try the Magnifier (found in start>other programs.accessories>ease of use). You can set it up as a lens or full screen.

I always forget that magnifier. I moved to windows 7 from XP and there are still a lot of things I haven't tried yet.
