Problem Adding Templates in PRE 11

Postby tedco » Fri Jan 11, 2013 11:45 pm

Hi,

Having read the Where Do i find and install Movie menu templates ? in the community, and followed the instructions to the letter, I have not had any luck adding new templates.

The path in the instuctions shows C:/PROGRAM DATA/ADOBE/PREMIERE ELEMENTS/11.0/CONTENT/ONLINE/ DVD TEMPLATES /ALL_LANG/[Category] but on my computer, I have no CONTENT folder but only ONLINE.

I have tried to manually add this CONTENT folder, and copy everything from ONLINE folder and below, but still no luck.

Also tried to add a [Category] inside the All_Lang folder, but this does not work either.

I downloaded the free template named 18Scenes_s.zip and would like to use this template, but haven't been able to do so - any ideas of what I am doing wrong ?

Thanks in advance.

Are you using Windows 7, 8, Vista or XP? The instructional tutorials are for an XP machine but we can guide you depending on what OS you have :)

Here is the actual location of your DVD and BluRay templates:
C:/PROGRAM DATA/ADOBE/PREMIERE ELEMENTS/11.0/ONLINE/DVD TEMPLATES/ALL_LANG/[Category]

(Sorry for the confusion. There is no CONTENT folder.)

But note that, with version 11, there are placeholder graphics in this folder, but the templates themselves are not downloaded until you selected each in Premiere Elements 11's Tools/Movie Menus.

Hi Chuck and Steve

Thank you for your replies - I am using Windows 7, and looking on my laptop, I realised the path was changed with the new version of Windows.
I have successfully managed to add templates - again, thank you fr your help and support,
Kind regards
