Capturing from HDV camera with PRE11

Just out of curiosity, has anyone captured from a HD tape based camera with Pre11 and did see a picture during capturing?
I tried it yesterday and can't believe this is still an issue with the newest release. I get a preview in the capture window and am able to use the camera controls inside the program, but as soon as I hit the capture button I get some kind of generic picture.

I know this did not work with version 9 and 10 (at least not on my previous computer), only version 7 worked in that regard. That's why I still have PRE7 install on my notebook and I'm thinking about installing it also on my new computer.
I find that very disappointing.

I tested also capturing with the newest versions of MAGIX MEP and Pinnacle Studio and there it is now issue at all. Picture and sound is available during capturing and also during export.

If anyone with a tape based camera could confirm my findings, I would really appreciate it.

I don't even try anymore, just use HDVSplit to capture

I know there are alternatives for this. But the point of my post is, that I would like to find out, if this is true for everyone, or does it have anything to do with my setup.
I'm installing now PRE7 on my new system to see if it works there too.

It won't work in PRE7, 8, 9, or 10, doubt that it works in 11.
I can check but it probably won't be until next week.

The red frame in the capture window shows it is capturing.
