WinDVD

Hi everyone. My new PC came with WinDVD 8 installed. This is an "upgrade" from a previous older version. Unfortunately, I found the older version (I don't recall which version) better more user friendly. But my main problem: In the settings panel, I cannot change the video (eg, hue, saturation) because the settings panel grays out the options to do that. It only happens when I play a full video (with menu), but it's ok when I run the underlying VTS files by themselves. Strange. Any advice?
