Hi Gambo, Welcome to Muvipix :meet:

I don't have or use Magix but there are others here that do. I'm sure they will want to know exactly were in the process of loading does the program quit?
Do you get to the interface at all or does it stop during loading? Any additional information you can give will be a big help :)
Thanks

You should submit a support ticket to Magix. They have a program that can analyze your system to check for incompatible drivers and devices and other specs.

I have both MEP 14+ and 15+ installed on my computer, so that can't be the problem. I never install anything in Safe Mode, but I do run MSCONFIG and turn off all NON-Microsoft Services and turn off all start-up procedures. Then I reboot. Next comes the installation. I also don't install as "Administrator." I install under my own account which has administrator priviledges.

While waiting for Magix to reply, you might want to uninstall MEP 15+ and then reinstall it, after running MSConfig.

Next problem, when I want to save the effects that I have applied to a clip, Video-FX > Save Video Effects, I get an error message that a file is missing: EffectsSelectionDialog.ini. I searched the entire hard drive for that file to see if maybe it had been misplaced, but it doesn't exist. I created an empty file with that name, but then I get an error message that the file is invalid.

Robert:

I don't know if you have seen this at the Magix forums yet, but you can now download the missing file. This window looks pretty good.

Gambo: I agree with RJ. Open a ticket with Magix support. Their support seems to be very good. They will get back to you within a few days.

I have also not had any problems with MEP15 plus. I hope you get it working. It seems to be a nice package.

Hello all,

I mostly use the old Adobe Premiere 6.5 version, but I also have an older version of Magix Video Deluxe 2.0 that I use for some things. I have several gripes with the old Magix video program, the biggest of which is that it ALWAYS output a non-standard DV-AVI file that had 16/44.1 sound instead of 16/48 (with no way to change it) which made it a headache to swap videos between various editing programs. Can any of you tell me if this is still the case with the new MEP 15 version?

Thanks
Charles

It's not with v12, so I would assume it's not with v15.
