New Magix Video Pro X

I know a few folks along with me use Magix Movie Edit Pro. I see they have recently released a more professional editor Magix Video Pro X. There are some discounts for current customers.

Wow, I haven't upgraded MEP since version 10+, but I'll have to check this one out! I always did like the workflow better with their product.

It is quite expensive. $250 is a little steep. I'm not sure how it compares to Premiere Pro. If it does I guess it is inexpensive. However, compared to PRE7, it is very expensive.

MEP 15 should be out pretty soon. Maybe March or April. I didn't see anything in the Video Pro X that interested me, even when they offered Video Pro X for $199. They also didn't fix a problem that I reported way back last year for MEP 14+. The bug is still in Video Pro X. So I quickly uninstalled the trial.

Robert, is that the field issue with DV-AVI. Did the latest patch release help it?

Paul, I have the e-version. There isn't a patch for it.

I checked to see if smart encoding for DV-AVI NTSC was fixed, but it wasn't. There was stuttering every second.

There shouldn't be a problem for PAL.

In Germany the version is out about october last year. I tracked the criticism in the Magix-User-Forum and it seems as if the version is very buggy.
Maybe they enhanced it before they distributed other markets.
