After Effects - Light Streams

Postby Spot » Mon Jan 19, 2009 1:29 am

Hey all,
I have taken on a project that calls for a bit of motion graphics for an intro. I have attached the main part of the Logo that needs to be used. To keep with the theme of the event I want to create cicling streams of light that look just like the ones in the image. I'll then have some text coming out of the centre towards the camera.

Seems like this should be fairly simple... so am hoping someone here has an idea on where to start.

I have a version of Particle Illusion that I might also try and use for this if AE proves too hard.

Thanks

JB

Whenever I need to do something like this I go to VideoCopilot for inspiration. They have a couple of tutorials on light streaks:

And I learned everything I know on motion backgrounds from Creative Cow AE tutorials.
Check out everything you can on Fractal Noise ;)

And it isn't quite as easy as you might think, give yourself lots of time to learn ::C
