How to convert .flv for use in Sony Vegas ?

Hi all Sony Vegas experts,

My sister gave me a video file. I tried to load it into Sony Vegas but Sony Vegas cannot recognize the file. The file is in .flv

I read from Steve that flv is flash file but what format is that ? it is a format created by the creator of flash ?

Sony Vegas cannot handle .flv ? How to convert this format ?

I believe Super can convert FLVs to DV-AVIs, Ryan.
