Sony vegas pro 8b Problem

Postby shibapower » Fri Sep 19, 2008 1:05 pm

I have a problem with my sony vegas pro 8:
When i import a video and i try to play it i only hear the sound.
I wonder or someone else ever had this and might be able to help me out.
I have all the codec's i could find and the files i use are most of the time avi files.
I am looking forward to your answers , Shibapower

Hi Shibapower, Welcome to Muvipix :)

There are a few Vegas users here that I am sure can help you solve your problem.
Where do the avi files come from? Are they from a digital still camera or a minidv camcorder or some other device?

My guess would be that the files are not standard AVI format. Could possibly be mjpeg, do you know if you have a motion jpeg codec installed?
You can get a lot of information about a file and the codecs on your system with Gspot
