Problem with Premiere Elements 4

Postby hodie21 » Wed Mar 05, 2008 9:10 am

This is my first post so bear with me. I installed PE4 and went to start a new project. It will not let me pick the HDV format to edit in. So no widescreen or Hi Def options will show up. What will cause this? Also, I use HDV tapes in a Sony HC-3 and I know PE4 will not scene detect and have heard of the HDV Split. The problem I have had with that is when HDV Split starts it stops working after the first clip has played. Any help would be appreciated. I have used Sony Vegas Platinum 8.0 but am trying to change to PE4 because I need to burn my hi-def video to Blu-ray's.

You will only have the option to choose this in the settings when you first begin a project. You can't change it once the project has been created.

That said, if you can't even see the option in your settings, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the program. Occasionally all of the parts don't get installed on the first attempt.
