SOS: How to Open ProDAD Adorage from within my NLEs?

Postby George Tyndall » Fri Jul 15, 2011 7:29 pm

The instructions that came with the download state:

To activate, open Adorage volume 12 from within your video editing software and when prompted, enter your license key and activate the software over the Internet. Once this is done, please confirm the other Adorage volumes are unlocked and you should be ready to go.

I called CS, spoke to a very nice man for over an hour, but he could not tell me how to "open Adorage volume 12 from within" either PRE7 or PP5.5.

I need instructions for both, please.

P.S. Both the 32-bit and 64-bit plug-ins were succesfully installed, and a single Adorage icon does appear in either the Transitions (PRE7) or the Effects (PP5.5) tabs of my NLEs, and I can drag this icon to both timelines, however, the resulting Adorage dialog says that I am using a Demo version of the software. As I said, CS cannot tell me how to open V.12 and then add the Key code. The Help button takes me to the Adorage web site where I do found documentation re how to use the software with various NLEs, however, the manual covers only how to register and activate software from DVDs, not from a download.

Well, I finally figured it out for myself--the instruction is WRONG!

The correct procedure is that, one by one, each of the zip files needs to be unzipped and then the volume activated by applying the Key to each and every one of them, which is going to take quite a few hours.

Once each volume has been unzipped, it can be accessed from within both NLEs by following the procedure that is given in the online Help.

Glad you got it figured out George. I must say, ProDad support is very good, they have usually answered my emails within a few hours.

I phoned CS here in California as it was during his business hours.
