I don't think so.

This new feature is for those that can't focus on the subject. How many of today's cameras have that problem?

And they are spending $50 MILLION on this new feature? Come on here.

Marc Andreessen has never started or operated a profitable business, with one exception: Netscape turned an annual profit, back in 1996 when it posted a $19 million profit. (Netscape wasn't free then)

yes but how cool would it be to add the picture to your video with different areas in focus. Would make for a really cool effect. That way you can tweak the photo. Sounds cool to me. And you could really make many photos from one.

Intriguing. Looks like focus will soon be an irrelevance.

I have also seen a "CS6 preview" video from Adobe where focus correction is carried out in Photoshop. Still nothing like the Lytro technology though.
