What is old is new again. Both sound like the 70's or 80's. This video looks like there is a little AE work the last third. The video reminds me of the Solid Gold Dancers.

This video reminded me of Francesco's dream like videos.

I got to visit his home and studio in Minneapolis, Paisley Park, to make a delivery once. Prince wasn't there but one of the studio guys gave the cheap tour, pretty amazing place. I played a lot of his music when I was a DJ. He wrote and co-wrote a lot of songs that most people don't even realize.

Hey Chuck, didn't know you were once a jock..good heavens we're bros and din't know it. Do you remember Programmer's Digest? Just curious, you may be too young. What I've discovered over the years is, once a radio guy always a radio guy, no matter what your doing. While working at Comcast I was on the air so-to-speak.

That may have been a bit before my time, don't remember the publication. Billboard was what I paid most attention to at the time, left the rest for the station managers and program directors :)

I went to Trans American School of Broadcasting in Wausau Wisconsin, graduated in 1981. Worked all over Western Minnesota for a few years until I realized that I was not going to make a lot of money anytime soon, so I went back to the restaurant business for awhile.

Spent most of my time at KMRS in Morris, Minnesota - Country AM Station, KBRF in Fergus Falls and my favorite (top 40 station and oldies) KLQP in Madison, Minnesota.

Today I do a lot of training videos and my voice comes in handy for that. I loved working in radio, just didn't like the politics and didn't have the time to wait for things to happen. At that time in my life my wife gave birth to our first child and $700/month was not enough to survive with kids on the way :)

My first year in radio (Texas) five stations, then KJOE, then KEEl, Shreveport, WNOX, Knoxville and my last gig as PD at WCAW in Charleston, WV. Then I jumped from the frying pan into the fire..the Music Biz. I was a first generation top 40 jock getting in '57. My middle name should have been "Dirt." :)

Do you still have any of your old radio checks? It would think it would have been a blast to be on the radio back in the 50's and 60's. Lot's changed in the 70's with FM radio and a whole new world, now there is satellite radio and everything has changed again. My sister has been in radio for years, Fox Valley area in Wisconsin. Her last gig was recording a daily 4 hour show, recorded all 4 shows in about 6 hours. She was getting paid about $100 per week, that's crazy but seems to be common for small and medium markets these days.

These guys are my summer 16 driving CD. I like the 70's vibe. The singer looks like the love child of Freddie Mercury and Joan Jett :)

I'm guessing the slow motion/lip sync effect was done by playing the song sped up while recording then applying the slow motion to the video. Cool idea.

For those who have a strong anchor in their lives from the 1980's, this is magnificent.
