If Adobe have not fixed;
- the Dynaic Link between Pro and Encore,
- the stability of Encore when building DVDs and
- the ftp Passive option in Pro,
then I see little reason to consider the upgrade.

Why should I fund these developers life style when they consistently fail to deliver a product that does not meet their own specification. If I failed as often as they do then I would not have any edit work to do!

I'm not yet into regluar AVCHD editing and so that fancy grahics card will be a pipe-dream for a while yet!

Call me old fashioned but I never use that facility simply because it doesn't do 'what it says on the tin'. I close my PPro project then import the assets into Encore.

John,
I do much the same, edit & add effects then export to a new .avi file and then close Pro whilst at the same time I code a .flv file in Media Encoder to upload to a web site. I then import the .avi to Encore for the DVD (but Encore will crash once in fur times, still) and then I set about uploading the .flv files.
How much nicer it would be to let some of this process (export to .flv & upload) take place overnight. I talking 40 min files which reduce to 200M+ for .flv, so you see I need to reduce the number of separate pocess steps!!
