Ah, the long-awaited trip. I hope that things go well this time around. Travel safely, relax and enjoy, and report back that all was wonderful.

[Edit] I really liked the RV Smiley. Reminds me of my youth. One great client made/sold RV awnings. We'd get the new prototypes from RV mfgrs., just after they finished their photoshoots, and take them to some of the most beautiful spots in the West. The client would then mount his new awnings on these, and we shoot them for their brochure. This usually meant that we'd be out in the wilds of CO, UT and NM for a couple of months. Only problem was that we could not actually use the RV's, as they were on loan and were going to be used in shows, etc.. Still, we'd usually travel with an off-road pop-up, or our tents, and just camp for the Summer and Autumn, while the client added new RV's and awnings. I still cannot believe that someone would pay me good money to go camp in the San Juans, or Canyonlands for months at a time! Fond memories, indeed.

So rather than pack up and unhook everything I decided to take the 1.5 mile walk to Wal Mart.
They didn't have a 4 pin to 4 pin Firewire cable, only 4 pin to 6 pin :pull:

It's a good thing we needed some other stuff anyway :)
Now, there is a Radio Shack a mile in the other direction, I'll take that walk later :)

That is why I went with a tow behind, rather than a single unit. Once we got there we would just set up, unhitch the truck and we were back on the road. On the other hand, they were much less convenient when actually driving - you couldn't go back for a sandwich, etc. Each has its merits.

Next you have to consider a toad, or at least a scooter.

One of my next investments will be a tow bar, we already have a vehicle we can tow.
We did take the bicycles but there isn't a good bike path to ride on, better walking.
Oh well, it's good exercise \:D/

Back home again, I will have some video to share over the weekend sometime.
Next time I will not forget the firewire cable. As a matter of fact I might just keep an extra one in there from now on.

Working on a video to share, it will even include images and video from our cell phones. The video format is 3GP and it works in Premiere Elements without a problem :)

We have already made reservations at two campgrounds in Georgia, one for the weekend of April 10th and another for Memorial weekend :TU:
Should have lots of video to share this year !

Memorial weekend we will be staying near Callaway Gardens, check it out

If any of you ever get to Georgia this is a must see destination :)

So far I have gotten the pictures off of the camera and cell phones and all of the video captured, but that's all.
Hopefully I will get some time this week to put something together ::C
