Help me decide

Postby Maxine370 » Sat May 17, 2008 11:38 am

Without getting long-winded here is the gist...

My 26" monitor/tv has been recalled so to speak and I'm gettting a 37" LCD monitor/tv (referb) free of charge. My family tv is a 32" tube. I'm considering replacing the family tv with the 37" and reconfiguring the bedroom/office setup.

I have dvi and vga ports so I can consider a double monitor, however I do need one monitor to also be a standalone TV (for bedroom viewing and for video importing). I would like to increase my screen size in the office if I opt to go for a new setup.

So here are my options to consider:

use the 37" in the office (simplest in terms of logistics) wondering if a 37" monitor has any drawbacks with regular usage.

get a dual monitor set-up with at least on a 22" tv/monitor (anyone know of a good model)

go for a 26"-32" tv/monitor in the office (anyone know a good model)
Happy Editing,

Beth

Two 22" widescreens would be great for your editing computer, the Dell Outlet has some great prices on refurbished models :)

They are not widescreen, but I have two 21" Samsung 204b monitors, and I absolutely love them. They got good reviews when we got them about a year and a half ago.

See me avoiding my packing? I am doing well at it today!

Got this one last August and have been very happy. Just need to update my video card for the VGA.

I have a dual 19" Samsung SyncMaster 940BF (1280x1024) set up along with a 17" LCD TV for playback.
Works OK for me; no problems. Though I will at some point in the future switch to 1920x1080 all round.
