Thanks Paul,

I downloaded the effect and have it saved on my hard drive and I thought it may install in to the program itself but it did not. I see in the effects tab there are already 3 tabs that have new blue fx effects, art, film, motion. Did you put the cartoon effect into one of those effects tabs? How did you install the effect in to your premiere program? I'm using PE4.

Played with it a bit tonight. Was surprised at the amount of control you have with this plug in. Was expecting less from a free plug in. Nice!

Hi Ric, I installed it in PE3 but I guess it is the same for PE4. I installed it to the default location and registered it. Then when I open PE3 I have a "NewBlue Free Effects" tab in the Video Effects list.

Nice effect, Thanks!

I have PrEl v2 and the plugin installer makes some wrong assumtions. It installs to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0\Plug-ins\

when it should install to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0\Plug-ins\en_US

Once i moved the folder it showed up and worked fine.

How are the render times with this? I purchased a "cartoon" plugin that works well, but takes awhile to render.

Added the effect to a short clip and the render time was about or maybe a little less than if you added a shadow/highlight effect. Thought it would take longer.

Some dumb questions:

In the effects panel under Newblue there are 2 cartoonr. They both look the same to me. Are there suppose to be 2?

Can I delete the set up icon from my desktop?

Thank for the link!

Great find. Thanks for sharing.

Is anyone else missing the keyframing ability with this. I don't see the clock icons to turn on and off.
Happy Editing,

Beth
