Thanks for sharing - I love this! I remember seeing this "play" years ago, but had forgotten about it. The commentary also adds so much to the original footage.

Back then I wasn't a baseball fan but I did listen to the St.Louis Cardinals games occasionally. I grew up in Blytheville, AR and they are cardinals fans. I remember in high school, they were in the play offs and they broadcasted the games over the intercom if it was a day game. Now living in the Houston area, I am a big Astros fan...

I really thought that was a great article.. All I can say to that is God Bless America and that loyal ball player.. What a moment to capture on film..
