I loved the part where they claimed built-in games and then showed two hands doing the thumb wrestle!

The next version should be embedded into the skull so you can order your Starbucks while carrying on a conversation with an invisible person, like those guys with the Blue Tooth headsets.

Hey - don't pick on me! When out working (driving around town fixing PCs and helping people who "can't get their email" I use my BT headset all the time.

Does anyone besides me remember a 1960s movie called "The President's Analyst"? It's about a conspiracy to hook everyone up to wireless telephones permanently.

It's beginning to seem like we're now doing this of our own free will.

img0436 Relax, Steve. It will be okay. Just have some Soylent Green, put on your Mao-approved brown pajamas, jack in to the Matrix, go out into the field and sing some Party-approved Workers Unity songs. Just make sure your Palm Flower hasn't turned black...

If you need me, I'll be in the bread line. I hear the wait is less than 6 hours today! img0435

One of the late, great Charlton Heston's most-remembered lines. Some of my other favorites are:

-"Let my people go!"

-"You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!"

-"I have only three commands. When I signal you to come, you come. When I signal you to charge, you charge. And when I signal you to run - you follow me and run like hell!"

-"I have only five words for you... From my cold, dead hands!"

RIP Charlton Heston, one of the last great leading men in Hollywood. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

I saw Soylent Green at the Drive In Theater in Dundee Illinois, probably the summer of 74', maybe 75'.
My favorite Chuck Heston film, after Planet of the Apes, has to be; The Omega Man.
We sat in the Meadowdale Marc Cinema 4 and watched it 4 times in a row, in 1971.
That was back when they didn't even kick you out between shows :)
If you haven't seen The Omega Man I would highly recommend seeing it at least once.

Yup, I thought The Omega Man and Soylent Green both were excellent, and both good SciFi - as opposed to the monster of the week on the SciFi channel. Of course, the Planet of the Apes series was good SciFi also. And I remember seeing all three on the "big screen"also! Heston was bigger than life in many ways...

But if I look at my DVD collection, I only have Soylent Green. I think I am going to have to place some orders.
