What does the % bar under one's name refer to? I'm 77% of what?

In a nutshell according to Chuck:
The percentage graphics are fixed, they don't actually change for every percentage point. This is just something that was added to make things a little more fun. You will notice changes from; 'Starting...' this is a new user, 10% = 5 posts, 33% = 25 posts, 52% = 50 posts, 77% = 100 posts, 99% = 200 posts, 'Complete' = 250 posts, and something else at 500 posts (it's a surprize). There is also a text description that goes along with the % graphics, New User, Registered User, Frequent Contributor, Senior Contributor, and the surprize title at 500 posts There, now everyone knows how it works.
