Ron that looks like an awfully small broom to be sweeping the driveway. :)
Thanks

Hee.

That's actually a small rake. There's another pic where she's touching the top of that bank. Believe it or not, there's a mailbox under that bank on the left - carved out to receive mail of course.

Here's some very raw footage of the snow from my 18th floor office. Yech! It's going to be a nasty ride home!

Steve, what a great view. I can't imagine working on an 18th floor...

We haven't had any significant accumulation this year and the grandkids are really disappointed. But when the snow does come it remains unmelted on the south side of our mountain a week longer than the north side.

The kids still have their fingers crossed to try out the new gas well access road with an incline that will be spectacular for sleigh riding.

Hey Steve, was that shot in black & white or colour? I don't think it really matters, eh? ;)

I elected to work from home today myself. I trust my driving just fine, but not that of others.

Can you believe it, we have a freezing rain thunder storm over here. I've never seen freezing rain mixed with lightening before. The Gods must be angry I think.

Steve, I've been thinking of all the bad weather you are experiencing and wonder how far you have to commute from home to you office by bicycle?

Thanks for asking, Cinde.

It's a 7 mile, each way, commute from Wauwatosa to downtown Milwaukee. But this weather has forced me onto the bus!

Stranger still, for the first time I can remember, the weather got so bad last night the county even shut down the bus system at 5:30!

Here's how we spent our evening, once I did get home.

Heard that Milwaukee got hit hard. 15" on top of the 8" you already had. Offices shut down etc.

Questi sono sicuramente grande giorni per una ciotola di pasta, Doreen!

Just received a poem by email from a Canadian friend... though it so appropriate to share here.
Just substitute any hometown for Canada

It's winter in Canada
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.

Oh, how I love Canada
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Canada

'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!! img0220

OK Steve, I wont get into a mine is bigger than yours contest. you win. My drive stopped at 9" of fresh, but EXTREMELY heavy wet snow last night.

BTW -
I think one of my best friends works in the office building accross the street. (Well the cake top looking building 2 blocks over in your video) Are you on the circus parade path? It's been about a year since we walked around down there.

Really? You've got a Milwaukee connection? Which one is the "cake top" building" The old gas building, with the plastic flame on top?

And where to you live, Jeff?

My best friend moved to Browndeer after college, has since relocated to Muskeego, but still works downtown. I spent most of the 90’s commuting up there to hang and generally cause trouble. The fests — fairs — just watching the movie barge on the river. I can’t remember the outside café we would eat, drink and watch the $200,000 cigarette boats idle out to the lake.

I looked at the video again, I am wrong; he’s not in the gas building. Seeing the building brought back the memories. I remember his building having a pink hue to its finish. Since we both started having kids, we haven’t been out for our ‘walkabouts’ like we used to. :drunken: Like I mentioned the last time we were downtown was for the circus parade, and I know they cancelled that a year or two ago. :(

I’m down here in the NW burbs of Chicago. Stones throw from Woodfield mall. I keep forgetting to fill in my specs here:
