Check Out These Great Short Films!

Postby Chuck Engels » Tue Jan 29, 2008 11:14 am

The PBS station in Atlanta is very involved with amateur and independent film makers.
Check out some of these films, they are not very long and many of them are fantastic.
Atlanta Shorts is the name of the show, they have a PBS web page and a MySpace page

The film I saw on Saturday night was great but hasn't been uploaded yet.
It was a spoof of the Maltese Falcon and the movie transitioned back and forth from color to black and white.
It was about a regular guy that loved watching the Maltese Falcon and kind of lived in a semi dream world.
The whole movie was about him going to the rental store to return the movie, it was very well done.

You will love that film Steve, be sure to post back with your review/thoughts :)

The whole idea is great, the changes from current to past, and color to black and white, is all done extremely well.

Be sure to read the "About this Video" sidebar for more context as to the requirements of the contest it won.

Very nicely done!

I watched it Chuck, it was very well made.

I better liked the one from the 2006 Atlanta film festival: My Redneck Brain Cell. It is well made and the story line in the classroom is hilarious. I was also thinking BTU.
