The article by Larry Jordan on skin tone correction -- at the link below -- has proved very useful and informative. I'd been trying to use white balance on a scene, but it was throwing skin tones off. Instead of using white balance, I corrected the skin tones using Jordan's recommendations, and then the rest of the scene looked correct. I also learned something about the color of blood. Everybody's skin has the same hue to within a couple degrees, so on some vectorscopes there is a line for skin tone correction. Vegas Pro 18 and Premiere Pro have the line on their vectorscopes. In Vegas Pro 18, the line, which was added this version, is at 123 degrees.
