DivX Pro CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY... limited time

The folks at DivX are giving away DivX Pro for the holiday... sucks as I bought it sometime back. It is a player but also a converter and allows you to burn DivX discs. For conversion you drag and drop to convert videos to the DivX format... including DivX for Home Theater, DivX HD, DivX for Portables.

Paul,
Can you enlighten me on what you use this for? :bounce:

Thanks,
Jennifer

It can convert standard definition or high definition content to DivX format (both standard and high definition DivX)... so a highly compressed format that maintains high quality. These files can be loaded on the web or on portable players because of their small size. It also has a player to play the files and you can burn them to a CD/DVD and play them in standard set top DVD player (assuming it accepts the DivX format... many new ones do).

I use it for converting TV shows to small size DivX files for watching on my laptop when I am working away (spending almost every other week in Italy at the moment... I speak Italian but still good to hear some good old english TV).
