Summerfest patrol

Postby Steve Grisetti » Mon Jun 18, 2018 7:00 am

Here in Milwaukee, the big event of the season is Summerfest, the world's largest music festival, with over 800 musical acts performing on 12 stages over 11 days.

The whole community celebrates it now. But, back in 1975, when it was first starting out, the police still saw it as some outlaw hippie thing.

This is a picture of the local undercover drug enforcement team. Sort of looks like the early cast of Saturday Night Live, doesn't it?

I saw Pablo Cruise along with the Steve Miller Band and the Eagles at Milwaukee County Stadium in 1978, what an awesome show !! Really ended up liking Pablo Cruise a lot after seeing them live. Also like "I Go To Rio" from the Worlds Away album, the whole album is actually pretty good.

Pablo Cruise was doing their Worlds Away tour, Steve Miller was promoting the upcoming Greatest Hits album and the Eagles were on their Hotel California tour with Joe Walsh, it doesn't get any better than that :bnd:

Steve Miller did 3 Encores, played "Rock N Me" every time they came back on stage and the crowd went crazy every time.
