How to photograph a toddler

This is what you end up with after working weeks on the set and the settings, etc. I did get a few usable photos. The pups were easier.

I am guessing that the harder you tried the more rambunctious she was... good photos. looks like a fun day.

Yep. Daughter and I had it planned out with objects to hold, a rocker, a rocking horse and she was having none of it. :-8

In that last picture my caption would be..... Seriously.... I'm a toddler I am not supposed to do what I am told....

As time passes I bet these kind of shots will end up being your favorites because of the great stories behind the shoot.

Sums it up nicely! She was throwing toys at me at one point and laughing. She also wanted to chimp every shot. Has the finger out ready to scroll. At Thanksgiving she would say Cheeeeeze and run away laughing. At 15 months everything is a game. Life should be so simple. :-D

I guess you should have taken video instead of stills. :-D

I may just do that! Great idea! I will set up a camera of me trying to wrangle cats for a photo on Christmas day. Getting all 3 at the same time is difficult.

Did you tell her she had the attention span of a one-year-old? :-D

What a cutie! Maybe we should start a grandchild/great-grandchild picture thread. I know we've got plenty enough of us, ahem, "mature" folks here to do it. :-D
