mixing mp4 video into Camtasia projectHas anyone had experience with including an mp4 video in an otherwise standard Camtasia project? Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't. An mp4 makes the project very unstable. Or maybe my super computer is getting old. It has been crunching heavy video projects for about 6 years, hundreds of projects. However, tired as it is, I have always been able to find a solution to any problem...barely. Maybe machine may be on its last leg. I've pushed it hard for so long.
Re: mixing mp4 video into Camtasia projectI just loaded a 1280x720p24 MP4 into Camtasia 8 with no problems. So it is possible, though I don't know it's universally so.

Re: mixing mp4 video into Camtasia projectSince I couldn't get it to work, I think my computer is indeed tired. However, it will do almost anything else. So here's what I did...
I made an mp4 in Camtasia of the non-footage video, at the highest resolution, and then processed it along with the footage in Pro. Oh, boy, does it look good! I still wish I could do it the other way too.
