Why is my Camtasia video bigger?

Postby Matthew Max » Mon Feb 08, 2016 9:36 pm

How come the 10-minute video I just made in Camtasia is 53 megs, while most others are 15 to 26 megs? I did do some drawing in this one, and I used a lot of EMF's. Does that explain the size? (No video footage included)

max t, not maxt out

Any animations that you use will add up pretty quickly in size. Is the produced video the same resolution as the others, same format as well? Can't recall what an EMF is ... :conf: ::C

Same res and format, yes, Chuck.
EMF is a type of Windows image.

Ahhh, yes, now I remember. Do you always use EMF format? The file size is much larger than JPEG or even PNG I believe.

I use a variety of image formats. The EMFs are pretty small. But i did use a lot of drawing and zooming in the Camtasia project. Still, 50+ megs... seems big.

True. No doubt you are right. But I am still curious about what creates the size. I think you've answered it, though. Gracias, hermano.
