A Drone on a Leash

These may not be as fun as a regular drone, but may be more practical for some.

I didn't see anything about the suggested retail cost. But if it's cheap, I'm in!

I think this is a great concept and the $250price point seems pretty good.

But in the words of Ben Franklin.... Don't fly this baby in the rain. :hyst:

$500 if you don't buy in advance. No stabilizer that I saw. Would the string act as a stabilizer???

I noticed a working model airplane in Harbor Freight not so long ago and wondered about strapping the GoPro on top!

(Is there an emoticon for 'Skinning a Cat' around here somewhere?

ummmmmm

On second thought....

NEVER MIND!

I went ad did some reading on this a bit more and I really like the concept better and better. I wonder how long the leash can go? but for a quick setup and just fly around I think it would work pretty well. I really like the footage but IMHO the flight footage looks best when it is mixed with ground footage. Kind of like the videos that shrimpfarmer made a while back of a train.
