Note that "Already own BCC 9? The BCC Lights Unit is included in Continuum Complete 9. If you own a previous version of BCC (8 or earlier), we recommend that you do not download the BCC Lights Unit as it will override your current BCC version."

Hmmm, it installed a complete host of different effects in addition to the Lights-Unit. Is there a way to remove those, maybe? :-k

I think it puts the whole of BCC in and just activates the "light" portion. In Vegas this is available in it's own group.

Actually firing it up today it's reduced the number available - you might just want to try it again (Yes - I realise that's a "turn it off and on again answer" ;) )

Hi Chris, I found the place where the Boris FX are installed :-D . I did a search for MediaCore on my C: drive. In case you want to know, here is the location: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore. I looked for all the presets that show up in Premiere under BCC Lights, copied them to a new folder, deleted everything I did not want, and moved the copied files back into the MediaCore folder. Next time I opened Premiere I had only 3 folders with BCCxx. I was able to find the additional ones and delete them. Now I have only the BCC Lights showing and everything still works.
Love all the new Effects, hopefully I find a way to use them.

Here's my experience with the Sony Vegas Pro versions.

I now have both the Textures unit, given away last year or year before with Boris FX BCC version 8 trial in a promo, and the Lights unit installed in Sony Vegas Pro 12. I made a complete mess of things at first when I installed all the units for Boris FX version 9 on top of Boris FX version 8. I uninstalled both versions, then installed version 8 with just the Textures unit with the Texture key, and then installed version 9 with just the Lights unit with the Lights key. Thankfully, after loading Sony Vegas just the Texture and Lights units are in the list of effects, and both units are activated.

Robert, how did you manage just to install the lights unit? I installed/ uninstalled thinking I overlooked something. The 2nd time I made sure only the Lights unit was selected and none of the other effects had a check mark. But every time the full BCC9 suite installed, but only Lights activated.

Gerlinde, I don't know what the deal is with your installation. You're using Premiere Pro? I'm using Sony Vegas Pro. You might need to contact Boris support, if they'll give you any.
